Website Copywriting Checklist
When a customer approaches me about website copywriting, they may be at any stage in the web design process. They may be about to start designing their website, they may have a template ready for me to fill in with copy, or they may have an existing site that needs revamping.
Whatever stage you are at with your website copywriting, there are a few questions I’m likely to ask to make sure I understand your company and can write copy that really works for you.
Website Copywriting Questions
Question may include:
- What is your Unique Selling Point (your main marketing message)?
- Why would a customer buy from you rather than a competitor?
- What are the benefits to the customer of your product or service?
- Who are your main competitors (so I can analyse their sites)?
- How will customers arrive at your site (what is your marketing strategy?)
- Are you targeting specific keywords (or would you like me to find some)?
- What do you want customers to do when they reach your site (what is your call to action)?
- Do you have current testimonials?
The answers to these questions will help me to focus my website copywriting to your particular product or service, gaining a high conversion rate for your business.
